For estate planners

The specialist partner for clients with Bitcoin in the estate.

Co-advise high-net-worth holders without taking on the custody, technical, or operational risk yourself.

Why firms work with us

Built to slot into your existing succession practice.

Drop-in codicil & directive templates

Lawyer-reviewed digital asset codicils, directives, and executor briefing packs you can attach to your existing engagements.

Custody mechanics handled

We explain the multi-signature options so your client can build an arrangement where their wishes are cryptographically enforced, not merely written down.

Co-advisory or referral model

Refer clients to us for the technical execution, or co-service them under your firm. Either way, you stay the trusted adviser.

Specialist partner

Partnered with an Australian succession law firm so the technical custody work is matched with proper drafting - your file isn't carrying the crypto risk alone.

Partner resource kit

Everything you need to advise clients with confidence.

Our partner kit gives you practical documents and a private onboarding so you can discuss Bitcoin estate planning with clients without becoming the technical expert.

03

Documents drafted & reviewed

Common questions

Questions from adviser firms

How do you work with an existing solicitor-client relationship?
You stay the trusted adviser. We handle the technical consulting - guiding your client through their register, memorandum and executor brief - and provide a plain-English Solicitor Briefing Pack so you can draft or amend the will or codicil accurately.
Do you provide legal advice to our clients?
No. BlockByte does not provide legal, tax or financial product advice. We produce the technical documents your firm and the client's accountant reference in the instruments you prepare.
What does an executor actually need to access self-custodied Bitcoin?
A documented key handover protocol: what is held, where signing authority lives, the recovery quorum, and step-by-step instructions. Probate gives authority over the property but cannot reproduce a key that was never documented.
Should access details ever be recorded in the will?
No. Documents filed with the court can generally be inspected once probate is granted. Access detail belongs in a separate technical directive that the will references, and that directive should contain no live key material.
Can you assist with a deceased estate that already holds crypto?
Yes. We walk executors and beneficiaries through the technical steps involved in locating and reaching each holding, working alongside the estate's solicitor and accountant.
Is there a referral or co-advisory arrangement?
Both. Firms either refer clients to us for the technical execution or co-service them under the firm's engagement. We can walk through either model on a short call.
